I am a Certified Member of the Orton-Gillingham Academy, Landmark Outreach trained and specialize in teaching reading at my business, Fortitude Learning Center, Inc.

I have advanced degrees in Special Education, Dyslexia Studies, Language & Literacy and am licensed as a Special Education teacher and Reading Specialist. My professional experiences range from teaching English Language Arts classes to very specific Orton-Gillingham lessons.

Through customized Orton-Gillingham (OG) lessons, I will teach your student reading & writing skills, boost their confidence and help make learning fun. I help students reach their academic potential, all while being the effective & reliable teacher you can depend on.

My Story

Having been a special education teacher in the Brookline Public Schools from 2010-2021, and the lead teacher in the middle school language-based program from 2013-2021, I taught daily small group English Language Arts and Orton-Gillingham lessons.

My passion is teaching reading and writing to help students feel more confident in understanding their world and communicating with others. It is my belief that each student has a unique learning style, and I am driven to find out what that is and personalize my lessons accordingly. From day one, my students feel more confident in their abilities as well as a sense of relief that someone finally understands the way they learn.
